greatsword battle scene phase2
working a bit more on the hands, with the focus of the piece around the hands ive spent the most amount of time on them but they and the sword need to pop.
im not happy with his face. his expression makes it look like hes got his eyes shut and he looks too muscular. thoughts, ideas, always welcome.
just realised ive left my pallet in the bottom right. so i dont get the colours too badly lost in the new scene. :)

Valdor the damp!
The painting begins on my wizard for the hurricanum. I'm writing a little fluff for each unit!
Valdor spent years as a child under a cloud. Literally. Picked up at 10yrs old by the celestial college of altdorf he was used to keep the colleges gardens well watered. Until one dark day he stumbled too close to one of the hurricanums under repair, destroying the west wing of the college with a tiny moon dragged from the very skies! He was immediately put into training as a wielder of the "golden oracle" hurricanum. But the name stuck. Just not to his face.

OSL phase 2
Phase 2 to 4 done! Repainted all details. Highlighted gold and painted directly over them! Talk about burning my butterfly's. I think it works tho!

OSL hurricanum mania!
I've been planning this beast since it cropped up in white dwarf. Still haven't seen one done like this. It's going to take an age. But this is the plan for the top oracle!
All from the airbrush.
1: base of gold over brown
2: layer of Vallejo angel blue
3: layer of French blue radiating from the central sun.
4: construct planet orbits and finish with a light layer of light sea blue.
Then paint all the details, planets etc.
then do all the highlights again and finish with edging in white and turquoise.
Just writing it down is tiring. At the moment I'm on stage 4. :)

Greatswords second rank
Another 10 down! And with all my left over bits from knights and demigryphs laying about I figured I would gave the front rank a touch of class! Still more to do with the bases but I'm calling them done. Specially pleased with the champion.
Can't wait to finish my 3rd rank soon.

Small update.
Better pictures to follow. Batch painted the nuln iron sides. But spent a whole day on the captain, quite happy with him.
You can see my continuing zenithil airbrushing. I find black, brown then light brown a great base for my current scheme.
